Job summary

Esko is seeking a software engineering leader to design and operate a knowledge-driven platform for AI workflows. You will own substantial technical areas, ensure secure multi-tenant operation, and collaborate with domain experts and product teams to convert expert knowledge into structured, testable assets.

Based in Prague or other Esko locations with hybrid/remote options, you will help shape the AI platform used across multiple product teams and contribute to long-term scalability and

Qualifications

• Extensive software engineering experience in modern languages.
• 5+ years in software engineering, preferably owning a platform or shared services.
• Experience building knowledge, retrieval, or rule systems.
• Hands-on with RAG, information extraction, and structured validation.
• Judgement in applicability, exceptions, and escalation when needed.
• Experience constructing evaluation datasets and documenting decisions.
• Degree in CS/ML/DS/AI or related discipline.
• Comfort bridging platform and domain engineering teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Design knowledge representation for constraints and guidelines.
• Build platform services for ingesting, curating, retrieving and versioning knowledge.
• Define retrieval, validation and human-review workflows.
• Expose reusable APIs for applying, validating and explaining knowledge.
• Develop evaluation suites for retrieval quality and explainability.
• Own technical areas with focus on security, isolation, reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with domain experts and product teams to formalize expertise.
