Job summary

Esko in Prague is seeking an engineering leader to drive the Agentic AI platform. You will lead the Agentic AI engineering team, shape technical direction, and own substantial platform areas while collaborating with product, security, compliance, and architecture teams.

You will translate shared needs into reusable platform capabilities, drive reliability, and mentor engineers to grow through feedback and structured development plans.

Qualifications

• Strong production software eng experience in Python, TypeScript, or Java.
• Experience leading engineers, with line management and feedback.
• Experience building a platform, API, or shared service.
• Experience designing production AI systems using LLMs and agentic workflows.
• Ability to take early-stage ideas to production as reliable capabilities.
• Balance platform coherence with product/domain differences; make trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Agentic AI engineering team with clear goals and coaching.
• Contribute to design, implementation, and operation of Esko's Agentic AI platform.
• Shape platform direction, interfaces, and engineering quality with the team.
• Translate needs into reusable platform capabilities, avoiding forks.
• Establish practices for reliability, security, observability, and performance.
• Support adoption of the shared platform by product teams.
• Create an environment for experimentation and evidence-based decisions.
• Define measures of adoption, quality, and delivery effectiveness to guide priorities.
