In The Pocket is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team delivering reliable, scalable digital products across Europe. You will own production reliability, contribute to an AI-enhanced operations strategy, and help build scalable platforms with OpenTelemetry observability and GitLab-based CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience running production systems.
• Willingness to own reliability end-to-end.
• AI-native approach to operations and automation.
• Familiar with incident management and SLIs/SLOs.
• Experience with cloud-native stacks, CI/CD and IaC (GitLab, Terraform).
• Security-minded with SAST/DAST, secrets management, and pen testing experience.
• Interest in platform engineering and reusable components.
• Collaborative communicator with dev teams and client partners.

Responsibilities

• Take shared ownership of production and hosted products to keep them reliable and secure.
• Participate in incident lifecycle: detection, response, mitigation, resolution, blameless post-mortems.
• Define and implement SLIs, SLOs and error budgets; support proposals and contracts.
• Contribute to modern observability using OpenTelemetry.
• Build reusable components and promote self-service golden paths and production-readiness scorecards.
• Work hands-on across CI/CD, IaC, cloud-native architecture, networking and resilience.
• Embed security practices: secrets management, scanning, and remediation.
• Reduce toil with automation and AI-first operations.
• Follow best practices in incident management and learn from seniors.
