Job summary

AG Talent Ltd. is seeking a Software Engineering Technical Lead for a fully remote role across Europe. You will own day-to-day technical delivery and production operations, leading a small remote team while the CTO handles people management.

Responsibilities include uptime, performance, security, backups, and incident response, plus guiding PostgreSQL performance and scaling as the platform grows; collaboration with AI tooling and governance will be key.

Qualifications

• Experience owning production uptime, performance, security and DR.
• Strong PostgreSQL knowledge and data retention planning.
• Experience reviewing PRs and setting testing/guardrails for AI changes.

Responsibilities

• Own production: uptime, performance, security, backups, disaster recovery and incident response
• Own PostgreSQL performance, safe production migrations, data retention and recovery, including how analytical workloads are separated and older data archived
• Own the scaling plan as the platform moves beyond its current single primary server setup
• Keeping Sidekiq processing reliable at current volumes and designing for what comes next
• Reviewing pull requests from a team working heavily with AI tooling, and setting the standards, tests and guardrails that keep large AI generated changes safe to ship
• Owning production incident response during agreed working hours, with backup and out of hours responsibilities shared across the team
