Job summary

EY Gent is offering an Internship in Accounting & Business Consulting where you will support clients with financial digital processes, bookkeeping, VAT/Intrastat, and IAS/IFRS reporting across industries. You’ll work in the Accounting, Compliance & Reporting domain and gain hands-on experience in multiple service lines.

The role is ideal for students in finance or economics, with Dutch/French language skills and good English.

Qualifications

Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance or economics (Accounting/Tax preferred).
Available to start internship in 2nd semester (Jan–Apr 2027).
Internship contract provided by school/university.
Fluent in Dutch and/or French; good English written and spoken.
Born team player, creative, curious and client-/results-oriented.
Tech-savvy; experience with Exact Online and/or ERP is a bonus.
Minimum internship length of three months.

Responsibilities

Assist in bookkeeping and reporting, VAT and Intrastat declarations, and IAS/IFRS reporting for various clients.
Work on management reports, budgeting, analytical bookkeeping and financial analyses as needed.
Support temporary assignments in general accounting, credit control and internal optimization projects.
Contribute to EYnovation ecosystem with an hands-on entrepreneurial approach.
