Ernst & Young in Belgium seeks a Junior Accounting and Business Consultant to support clients in finance and reporting processes. You will help with year-end closings, audits, VAT returns, and financial statements, then move toward advisory work across industries.

The role emphasizes building trusted client relationships, embracing AI trends, and participating in EY’s training programs while contributing to dynamic, international projects from Gosselies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a financial or economic orientation.
• Graduate this year or have up to one year experience.
• Fluent in Dutch and/or French, and have a good written and spoken knowledge of English.
• Born team player, critical, innovative and curious.
• Client- and results-oriented.
• Strong affinity with AI and genuine interest in applying new AI trends in a professional context.
• Willing to follow internal and external trainings, and becoming a chartered accountant (ITAA) is an option.
• Tech-savvy. Experience with Exact Online and/or ERP is a bonus.
• Available to start in September 2027.

Responsabilités

• Accounting & Compliance: assist clients in financial digital processes (e.g. year-end closings, audit assistance, financial statements, tax and VAT returns).
• Reporting: work on management reports, budgeting, analytical bookkeeping, and other financial projects.
• Temporary assignments: assist in general accounting, credit control, internal optimization projects.
• Start-up and scale-up assistance: be an active EYnovation member with a hands-on and entrepreneurial approach.
