Job summary

Sander Brussels is seeking an Accountant to strengthen its finance team in Belgium. You will manage monthly and year-end closings, prepare provisions and accruals, and reconcile balance sheets while coordinating intercompany activity across Benelux.

The role requires a Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting or Finance, at least 3 years in general accounting, fluency in Dutch or French with good English, and strong Excel skills with ERP exposure.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly and year-end closings per local GAAP and IFRS.
• Prepare provisions, accruals and monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Handle fixed assets accounting and depreciation.
• Coordinate and reconcile intercompany transactions across Benelux.
• Prepare VAT and other statutory declarations.
• Act as key user for the ERP system.
• Support payroll accounting with HR and external providers.
• Assist with group reporting and margin analyses.
• Participate in audits and drive process improvements.
• Contribute to optimisation of accounting processes.

• Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in general accounting, ideally in an international environment.
• Languages: Fluent in Dutch or French, with a good command of English.
• Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent experience. Strong Excel skills; ERP experience is an asset.
