Job summary

Iceman Group of Companies, including Transport Innovators, is seeking a Mechanical Workshop Manager to lead its busy retail service workshop in Murarrie, Brisbane. You will oversee day‑to‑day operations, manage bookings and workflow, mentor technicians, and ensure accurate quoting and documentation while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing or supervising a retail service workshop (transport, trailers, or heavy vehicle industry preferred).
• Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems, trailers, or transport equipment.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with customers.
• Strong organizational ability with experience scheduling work and allocating tasks.
• Highly safety‑focused with leadership and problem solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills and ability to adapt to new software and digital systems.

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Workshop Manager to lead our busy retail service workshop in Murarrie, Brisbane. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a customer‑focused environment and can effectively manage a high‑volume workflow while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Role Responsibilities:

Manage the day‑to‑day operations of a retail workshop servicing a wide range of customer trailers and equipment.

Oversee job bookings, customer communication, and workflow planning to ensure efficient service delivery and turnaround times.

Lead, support, and mentor a team of technicians, promoting high performance and strong workmanship.
Ensure accurate job quoting, time management, and documentation throughout the repair process.
