Job summary

Browns Plains Mazda, part of the Motorama Group, is seeking a motivated Workshop Controller to lead our service department and ensure efficient flow of express workshop repairs. In this role you will schedule daily workshop jobs, estimate times, allocate repairs to technicians, authorise parts and sublet work, and monitor

• Proven experience in the automotive industry (workshop or service environment preferred).
• Strong customer service across face-to-face, written and phone channels.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work calmly and effectively in a fast-paced setting.
• Proactive, can-do attitude with problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling and coordinating daily workshop jobs to ensure efficient workflow.
• Accurately estimating job times and determining start times to meet customer expectations.
• Allocating repair orders to suitably skilled Technicians based on experience and scope of work.
• Organising and authorising sublet repairs, ensuring correct order number usage.
• Authorising and approving parts on repair orders as required.
• Ensuring all customer requests are correctly recorded and completed.
• Monitoring productivity, quality, and turnaround times.
• Facilitating weekly toolbox meetings to support communication, safety, and performance.
