Job summary

Western Sydney University is seeking a Workforce Reporting Analyst to transform complex workforce data into trusted insights that inform planning, reporting, and decision-making across People & Culture. You will manage dashboards, reports, and automated cycles, ensuring data accuracy and governance while supporting regulatory reporting.

You will collaborate with stakeholders across HR, Finance, and Analytics, using Excel, SQL, Power BI, Power Query and Power Automate to deliver timely outputs

Qualifications

• A degree in workforce analytics, HR information systems, business intelligence, data science or related discipline, and/or equivalent experience.
• Advanced Excel skills, exposure to Power Query and Power Automate, and demonstrated experience writing SQL against relational databases and developing Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Experience collecting, validating and analysing complex workforce datasets from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns and risks.
• Strong commitment to data governance, confidentiality and disciplined documentation of analytical work and reporting processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills to explain complex data and support data literacy across HR.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of workforce dashboards, reports and automated reporting cycles.
• Analyse data from multiple sources and maintain reliable reporting outputs; investigate discrepancies.
• Support preparation and validation of regulatory and statutory workforce reporting (WGEA and TCSI).
• Maintain clear records of reporting logic, data definitions and processes.
• Prioritise reporting requests and drive automation and data quality improvements.
