Job summary

CGU, part of IAG, is seeking a Workers Compensation Underwriting Assistant to support the underwriting team across multiple locations in Australia. You’ll help customers and brokers, process policy updates and renewals, and provide essential administration support in a collaborative environment.

No prior insurance experience is required; full training and ongoing support are provided to grow your underwriting knowledge and career within a large insurance group.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience and a genuine interest in helping people.
• Clear communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Motivated, reliable and open to learning new systems.

Responsibilities

• Process policy updates, new business and renewals.
• Assist customers and brokers with enquiries.
• Manage credit queries and follow up outstanding premiums.
• Prepare reports and provide administration support.
• Work closely with the team to deliver positive outcomes for customers.
