Job summary

CGU, part of IAG, is hiring a Workers Compensation Underwriting Assistant in Australia. This permanent, full-time role across multiple locations offers training and support to grow your underwriting knowledge with no prior insurance experience required.

You’ll process policy updates and renewals, assist customers and brokers, respond to enquiries, and provide admin support while collaborating with your team to achieve positive outcomes for customers.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience and a genuine interest in helping people.
• Clear communication and ability to build positive relationships.
• Organised, detail-focused and reliable.
• Motivated, eager to learn and capable of working independently.
• Identifies as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.

Responsibilities

• Process policy updates, new business and renewals.
• Assist customers and brokers with their enquiries.
• Manage credit queries and follow up outstanding premiums.
• Prepare reports and provide administration support.
• Work closely with your team to deliver positive outcomes for customers.
