Job summary

CGU, part of Insurance Australia Group (IAG), is seeking a Workers Compensation Underwriter based in Boorloo (Perth). You will manage an existing broker portfolio, underwrite renewals and new business, respond to queries, and collaborate with teams to improve portfolio performance while upholding compliance and integrity.

Qualifications

• Workers' Compensation underwriting experience or exposure is desirable.
• General Insurance experience is essential.
• Strong relationship building and negotiation skills; good verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite Workers Compensation opportunities for an existing portfolio of brokers.
• Process and manage renewals, policy adjustments and underwriting documentation.
• Respond to broker and customer inquiries with timely, accurate solutions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Renewal and New Business Teams to achieve targets for profit, growth and retention.
• Apply sound underwriting judgement to ensure risk selection and pricing outcomes.
