Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Principal Consultant in Melbourne to bridge business and technical teams on Workday HCM implementations. You will guide clients through design, configuration, testing, and implementation across Learning, Recruiting and Talent modules.

With 2+ years of Workday experience and a background in HRIS, you will advise on best-fit solutions, lead sessions, and ensure smooth migrations from legacy systems while coordinating with payroll and benefits integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Human Resources Management, HRIS or related field required.
• Certification in Workday HCM, Workday Recruiting, Workday Learning or Workday Talent.
• 2+ years of Workday implementation experiences, highly desired.
• 2-5 years Human Resources, Payroll, or financial software experience, required.
• 2-5 years implementing functional solutions with ERP or SaaS software, highly desired.
• Experience gathering business requirements, designing and prototyping, testing and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Become a Workday Learning, Recruiting and Talent product expert with knowledge of design, configuration, testing, and implementation.
• Recommend the best solution based on client requirements, budget, and timeframe; with flexibility to adapt scope as needs change.
• Guide customers through design sessions and configuration decisions based on best practices and business requirements.
• Support the client through all project phases, ensuring a smooth transfer from legacy systems to Workday HCM.
• Keep the client, project team and Engagement Manager informed on progress and changes.
• Work with the integration team to configure and test integrations between Workday and payroll/benefits providers.
• Take a leadership position on a project, or as a Collaborative or WorkdayProduct Partner Lead and/or DA Reviewer.
• Demonstrate hands-on expertise loading customer data and moving configuration tenant to tenant.
• Utilize technical aptitude to convert and map data sources into data conversion templates via loads.
