Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Principal Consultant to bridge business and technical teams during Workday HCM implementations in Sydney, Australia. You will guide design sessions, configurations, and testing, driving transformation from planning through operation.

You will lead client engagements, advise on best-fit solutions based on client requirements and budgets, and collaborate with integration teams for Workday to payroll/benefits interfaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, HRIS or related field required.
• Certification in Workday HCM, Recruiting, Learning or Talent.
• 2+ years of Workday implementation experience.
• 2-5 years HR, Payroll or financial software experience required.
• 2-5 years implementing functional solutions with ERP or SaaS software.
• Experience gathering business requirements, designing and prototyping, testing and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Bridge the gap between business and technical teams during Workday HCM implementations.
• Guide design sessions, configuration decisions, and testing.
• Lead client engagements through transformation, implementation, and operation phases.
• Configure and test integrations between Workday and payroll/benefits providers.
• Provide regular updates to the client, project team, and Engagement Manager.
