Job summary

Chin Chin Sydney is seeking an experienced Wok Chef to join its vibrant kitchen in Sydney. You will ensure the smooth operation of your allocated wok station and contribute to delivering authentic Asian dishes in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant.

Ideal candidates bring wok experience in an a la carte environment, knowledge of Asian cuisine, strong work ethic, and excellent communication. You will work rotating rosters including weekends and public holidays, with a focus on food safety and

Set over 1,000 sqm, the venue feeds in excess of 8,000 people weekly. Housed in the beautiful, historic and heritage listed Griffiths Tea building in Sydney’s Surry Hills, Chin Chin Sydney has its own unique personality and a menu that reflects of its own neighbourhood.

About the Opportunity:

We are looking for Wok Chefs to join our team at Chin Chin Sydney. Ensure the overall operation of your allocated section runs smoothly and effectively. Train and coach Cooks ensuring quality and consistency of products.

The Ideal Candidate Must Have:

• Must demonstrate Wok experience in an a la carte environment
• Asian cuisine knowledge is highly regarded
• Experience in high volume, fast-paced restaurant environment
• Resilient and able to perform in high-pressure service periods
• Strong work ethic and a "can do" attitude
• Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team
• Excellent communication skills
• Understanding of food safety standards
• Willing and able to work rotating roster that includesweekend and public holiday
