Job summary

CellarHand in Melbourne seeks an experienced wine sales professional to manage and grow an established customer base while opening new accounts through tastings and portfolio presentations.

You will plan your territory with the Sales Manager, target revenue and gross profit, and support national retail initiatives. A strong wine knowledge base and MS 365 skills are essential, with local driving and RSA required.

Qualifications

• Proven sales track record in wine wholesale or distribution.
• Strong wine knowledge (WSET Level 3 or equivalent).
• Natural relationship builder with reliability and presentation skills.
• Commercially minded with margin & pricing understanding.
• Self-motivated and organized, capable of running a territory.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 and basic sales data.

Responsibilities

• Look after and grow an established customer base, building long-term relationships with owners, sommeliers, bar managers and buyers.
• Find and open new accounts through prospecting, tastings and portfolio presentations.
• Plan and run your territory, including a regular growth plan with your Sales Manager.
• Work towards revenue, gross profit and distribution targets, always selling profitably.
• Support CellarHand's national retail business through store visits.
• Keep your CRM, customer data and pricing up to date, and work with Accounts on debtor management.
• Get involved in trade events and help grow the CellarHand brand in Victoria.
