Job summary

Capital Recruit is seeking an experienced WHS Case Manager to join a small Australian Government agency in Canberra. This full-time APS6 role provides specialist advice and manages WHS, injury management, rehabilitation and return-to-work matters through collaboration with employees, managers and external stakeholders.

You will oversee WHS and injury management, support wellbeing initiatives, conduct risk assessments and investigations, contribute to governance and reporting, and nurture

Qualifications

• Experience in work health and safety, injury management or rehabilitation.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to build trusted relationships.
• Experience managing sensitive cases with confidentiality and empathy.

Responsibilities

• Managing WHS, injury management and rehabilitation cases, supporting return-to-work outcomes.
• Providing specialist WHS and wellbeing advice to employees and managers.
• Supporting WHS and wellbeing initiatives that promote a positive safety culture.
• Undertaking WHS risk management and assurance activities, including incident reporting and investigations.
• Supporting WHS governance, compliance, reporting and case management requirements.
• Building strong relationships with rehabilitation providers, health practitioners and Comcare.
• Contributing to continuous improvement across WHS and injury management practices.
