Job summary

RELATBL Recruiting Pty Ltd in Canberra is seeking an APS6 Work Health and Safety Case Manager to deliver WHS, injury management and wellbeing programs. The role includes specialist case management support, high-level guidance, and stakeholder engagement to achieve positive workplace outcomes.

The position is a 6–12 month non-ongoing APS contract with potential extension. It is full-time (37.5 hours per week) with flexible arrangements considered on a case-by-case basis.

Job description

We are seeking Work Health and Safety (WHS) Case Managers at the APS6 level for our Commonwealth Government client based in Canberra, ACT. The successful candidate will help deliver the agency’s WHS, injury management and wellbeing programs, providing specialist advice and case management support to achieve positive workplace outcomes.

An initial 6 - 12-month non-ongoing APS contract is on offer, with possibility of extension. Temporary s26 transfers are also available to candidates currently employed in the APS on an ongoing basis. This role is full-time (37.5 hours per week) and flexible work arrangements will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Please note: only Australian citizens with an ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance can be considered for this role.

Requisite skills and experience:

• Significant experience in at least one of the following areas, with experience across both considered highly desirable:
  • injury management, rehabilitation and return-to-work, including experience liaising with Comcare; or
  • work health and safety, supported by a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (BSB41419).
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Experience managing sensitive and complex matters while maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion.
• Sound judgement, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide practical advice and recommendations.
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
