Job summary

Ava James Recruitment is seeking a results-driven Business Development / Account Manager to drive growth across Western Australia and regional markets, focusing on construction, resources and industrial sectors. This fully autonomous role blends account management with new business growth, capital sales, servicing agreements and on hire solutions.

You’ll collaborate with internal sales and service teams to deliver complete power solutions, from initial concept through to commissioning.

Qualifications

• Proven success in business development or account management within industrial, construction, or resources sectors.
• Experience in capital sales or service based solutions.
• Strong commercial acumen and confidence managing full sales cycles.
• Technical understanding of power systems or related equipment is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
• Self motivated with the ability to operate independently and travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a sales plan to expand market share across WA and regional areas.
• Build relationships with key contractors, operators, and project stakeholders.
• Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting through to negotiation and handover.
• Prepare proposals, tenders, and commercial offers for major projects.
• Collaborate with technical and service teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Maintain CRM accuracy and report on pipeline activity and forecasts.
