Job summary

Ava James Recruitment is seeking a Technical Sales Manager for a well established engineering provider in Western Australia. This role focuses on identifying, developing and securing new project opportunities across the resources sector.

You will collaborate with internal engineering teams to tailor solutions and manage tender submissions. Join a collaborative team to drive the full sales cycle from engagement to contract award, while building relationships with mining clients and consultants

Qualifications

• Experience in technical sales, business development or project delivery within engineering, water, or industrial environments.
• Strong understanding of project based sales and tendering processes.
• Ability to engage with stakeholders across mining companies and consultancies.
• Commercially minded with experience preparing proposals and pricing.
• Technical aptitude with the ability to understand engineered solutions.
• Existing network within the WA resources market highly regarded.
• Self driven and motivated by winning work.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business opportunities across the resources and industrial sectors
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, consultants and stakeholders
• Lead tendering activities including pricing, proposals and submissions
• Work closely with engineering teams to develop fit for purpose technical solutions
• Manage the full sales cycle from initial engagement through to contract award
• Maintain visibility of upcoming projects through industry networks and market intelligence
• Prepare high quality proposals, budgets and costings
• Contribute to overall sales strategy and pipeline development
