Job summary

Fire Doors Plus Commercial Doors Pty Ltd in Pomona, Queensland is seeking experienced Welders and 1st/2nd Class Sheet Metal Workers for a full-time, on-site role. You will contribute to high-quality commercial and fire door projects, reading drawings, operating CNC/laser machinery and performing welds to exacting standards.

The position requires MIG/TIG welding expertise, sheet metal fabrication skills and a strong safety mindset to ensure production excellence and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Current 1st or 2nd Class Sheet Metal Worker certification or equivalent experience/qualification.
• Proven welding experience with MIG and TIG processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience with sheet metal fabrication techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding on sheet metal components and assemblies using MIG/TIG techniques.
• Read and interpret drawings to ensure fabrication accuracy.
• Operate and maintain CNC Press Brake and Laser equipment; run welding gear.
• Inspect welds and sheet metal work for quality and spec conformance.
• Cut, bend, form and assemble sheet metal parts to design specs.
• Maintain equipment and report issues; follow safety policies.
• Collaborate with team to meet project deadlines and drive quality.
