ASSA ABLOY in Forest Glen, QLD is seeking a Welder to fabricate and weld thin gauge metal components for timber and metal doors. You will read drawings, use MIG/TIG welding, and ensure quality and safety standards on site.

Qualifications

• Welding experience required.
• Sheet metal or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to read a tape measure, level and square.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble and weld metal components to drawings.
• MIG and TIG welding of light gauge steel (1.1mm–3mm).
• Grind and clean welds; inspect quality and integrity.
• Read and understand workshop drawings and fabricate profiles.
• Identify material types and thicknesses; perform basic equipment maintenance.
