Job summary

Mountain Ridge Wines is seeking a Chef or Cook to join our team in a casual capacity, delivering consistently high-quality dishes in a beautiful setting. You will support senior chefs, handle food preparation and plating, and help maintain a safe, clean kitchen environment.

The role requires reliability, teamwork and a strong eye for detail, with weekend shifts on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays as part of a hospitality roster. Prior experience in quality dining is ideal.

Qualifications

• Recognised Chef trade qualification or relevant experience.
• Experience in a quality restaurant environment.
• Passion for food, hospitality and culinary excellence.
• Sound understanding of food safety, hygiene and kitchen operations.
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced service environment.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and organisational skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering exceptional culinary experiences that exceed guest expectations.
• Assist with the preparation, cooking and presentation of high-quality dishes.
• Work closely with senior chefs to ensure consistency, quality and efficient service delivery.
• Assist with stock rotation, inventory management and minimising wastage.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety and workplace health standards.
