Job summary

Summer St Wine Room is seeking a motivated, hands-on Full-Time Chef to join our kitchen team in a fast-paced hospitality setting. You will contribute to great food, quality produce, and well-executed service while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.

You’ll be responsible for prep, service, stock control, and collaborating with teammates to deliver a seamless dining experience. Availability for evenings and weekends is required; Sundays off as noted.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Chef or Cook in a similar venue
• Strong understanding of kitchen operations and service flow
• Passion for quality food and attention to detail
• Calm, reliable, and confident during service
• A team player with a positive attitude
• Available to work evenings and weekends (always have Sundays off!)

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute dishes to a high standard during service
• Support menu execution and contribute ideas for seasonal changes
• Maintain kitchen organisation, cleanliness, and food safety standards
• Assist with stock control, ordering, and minimising waste
• Work efficiently during busy services while maintaining quality
• Support and collaborate with other kitchen team members
• Ensure compliance with WHS and food safety regulations
