Qualifications

• Proven experience in event coordination, premium hospitality management, or wedding venue operations.
• 2–3 years in function spaces, wedding venues, or high-end hospitality.
• Experience managing function costs and protecting profit margins.
• Ability to lead casual staff and collaborate with department heads.
• Excellent time management; balance planning days with event delivery.
• Availability for flexible hours, including weekends and late finishes.
• Current Queensland RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate event layouts, finalize timelines, and manage client/vendor communications ahead of weekend events.
• Partner with management and Executive Chef to coordinate food, beverage, and service delivery.
• Oversee event delivery with a focus on budget adherence and venue profitability.
• Act as on-site coordinator for weddings and functions from guest arrival to departure.
• Supervise front-of-house flow, casual staff, and guest satisfaction during weekend service.
• Direct venue room setups, layout adjustments, and final styling touches.
• Meet weekly with Executive Chef to confirm catering run-sheets and guest counts.
