City of Ryde is seeking a Customer Service Officer - Waste to deliver high‑quality service across phone, email and face‑to‑face interactions. You will assist residents with waste and recycling enquiries, process service requests and support contract administration.

This role with the Resource Recovery team involves contributing to service improvements, maintaining records, and representing Council at community events.

Qualificações

• Experience delivering excellent customer service in a telephone, face-to-face or customer contact environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to explain complex information in a clear and easy-to-understand way.
• Sound problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Confidence using computer systems and technology to manage enquiries and customer requests.
• A professional, positive and empathetic approach when dealing with customers.
• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver high-quality customer service across channels including phone, email and face-to-face interactions.
• Assist residents with waste and recycling enquiries, process service requests, prepare quotes and invoices, support contract administration activities.
• Help ensure Council's waste services meet community expectations.
• Work closely with the Resource Recovery team and contribute to service improvements.
• Maintain accurate records and represent Council at community events and engagement activities.
