City of Ryde is seeking a Customer Service Officer - Waste to deliver high-quality customer service across multiple channels and support waste and recycling enquiries for our community. You will process service requests, assist with quotes and invoices, and help ensure waste services meet community expectations.

You’ll collaborate with the Resource Recovery team, maintain records, and participate in community events as part of a dynamic council team during the exciting FOGO rollout.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering excellent customer service in a telephone, face-to-face or customer contact environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to explain complex information in a clear and easy-to-understand way.
• Sound problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Confidence using computer systems and technology to manage enquiries and customer requests.
• A professional, positive and empathetic approach when dealing with customers.
• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsabilités

• Deliver high-quality customer service across phone, email and face-to-face interactions.
• Assist residents with waste and recycling enquiries and process service requests.
• Prepare quotes and invoices and support contract administration activities.
• Help ensure Council's waste services meet community expectations.
• Work with the Resource Recovery team and represent Council at events and engagement activities.
