Job summary

Red Hawk Casino is seeking a Receiving Clerk responsible for ensuring shipments arrive in good condition, verifying orders, and coordinating with accounts payable. The role emphasizes accurate receiving, proper storage, and adherence to food safety standards, with forklift/pallet jack handling and stock rotation responsibilities.

The position requires lifting up to 75 pounds regularly, with occasional heavier lifts, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Must have attention to detail skills.
• Previous forklift and/or pallet jack experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain thorough knowledge of dry goods, paper products, chemical supplies, and food and beverage specifications.
• Receive shipments in good condition; note discrepancies, damages, shortages, and mis-picks to vendor invoices and purchase orders.
• Cooperate with accounts payable to verify orders received.
• Resolve receiving disputes after researching root causes.
• Attend regular departmental meetings to facilitate information flow across the property.
• Electronically scan all purchase orders and vendor invoices.
• Verify that food and beverage deliveries meet corporate specifications and quality standards.
• Ensure proper storage: freezer, refrigeration, or dry storage; apply FIFO and proper dating.
• Rotate stock and forward food safety issues to Receiving Manager.
• Inspect inbound non-food shipments for accuracy against packing slips and POs.
• Log information into distribution logs and deliver items to appropriate departments.
• Assist marketing with unboxing and distributing promotional gifts to guests.
• Assist inventory control with accurate counts of stored bulk items.
