Job summary

Capital Logistics is a Mulgrave-based warehousing and distribution business seeking a Warehouse Administrator to support stock control, warehouse operations and transport coordination. You will help staff, respond to client enquiries and ensure smooth freight movements.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer enquiries and help find the right freight solution for their needs.
• Coordinate freight movements for clients, including projects, events and expos.
• Prepare quotes for a variety of freight and transport requirements.
• Provide day-to-day logistics support and keep clients updated along the way.
• Work closely with transport suppliers to keep freight moving smoothly.
• Coordinate daily warehouse movements to ensure on-time receiving, picking and dispatch.
• Receive incoming stock and check accuracy and condition.
• Perform regular safety checks on forklifts and warehouse equipment.
• Report damaged equipment and ensure repairs are completed.
• Maintain a clean, safe warehouse and safe walkways.

The Role

• Respond to customer enquiries and help find the right freight solution for their needs
• Coordinate freight movements for clients, including projects, events and expos
• Prepare quotes for a variety of freight and transport requirements
• Provide day-to-day logistics support and keep clients updated along the way
• Work closely with transport suppliers to keep freight moving smoothly
• Coordinate daily warehouse movements to make sure goods are received, prepared and sent out on time
• Receive incoming stock and check that everything is correct and undamaged
• Complete regular safety checks on forklifts, reach trucks and other warehouse equipment
• Report damaged or unsafe equipment and make sure it isn’t used until it’s repaired
• Keep the warehouse clean, organised and safe, including walkways and emergency exits
• Make sure employees and visitors wear the required PPE and high-vis clothing
• Keep an eye on incoming and outgoing freight to help coordinate vehicle schedules
• Monitor stock and follow up on goods that have been sitting onsite for more than two business days
• Report any damaged or missing goods
• Help with stock audits, equipment servicing and improvements to the warehouse layout
• Pitch in with other tasks as needed to help the team keep things running smoothly

What We Are Looking For

Skills & Experience:

• Experience with stock control - Must have
• Be physically fit and mobile
• Be solution‑focused with a can‑do attitude
• 1-2 years Previous experience in a warehouse – Highly regarded but not essential
• High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and process improvement
• Comfortable using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), TMS and PDAs
