Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to own day‑to‑day operations, lead a small team, and ensure stock accuracy, safety, and efficient processes across inbound, stock control, and order preparation. The role is hands‑on and involves coordinating with internal teams and suppliers.

You will oversee warehouse procedures, health and safety, and drive improvements while working in a growing Australian family‑owned business.

Warehouse Manager

We are representing a well‑established Australian family‑owned business with a strong reputation within its industry and a growing warehouse operation. With continued growth and investment across the business, they are now looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to take ownership of the day‑to‑day warehouse operations.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced warehouse leader who enjoys a hands‑on role and is looking to take the next step in their career. You will be responsible for leading a small, close‑knit team while overseeing the overall performance, efficiency, and safety of the warehouse.

Working closely with the wider business, you will play a key role in ensuring stock is received and managed accurately, customer and operational requirements are met, and warehouse processes continue to operate efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and supervise warehouse staff to ensure strong performance, engagement, and adherence to safety standards.
• Oversee the day‑to‑day warehouse operations, with a strong focus on inbound receiving, stock movements, put‑aways, and inventory accuracy.
• Coordinate and manage inbound freight, including the safe loading and unloading of trucks.
• Oversee retail picking and order preparation as required to support customer and operational requirements.
• Manage stock control, inventory accuracy, put aways, and regular stocktakes.
• Ensure warehouse procedures, systems, and processes are followed consistently.
• Operate a forklift as required and ensure all warehouse equipment is used safely.
• Monitor workflow and allocate resources effectively to meet daily operational requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, streamline processes, and increase productivity.
• Maintain high standards of workplace health and safety across the warehouse.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment.
• Work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and transport providers to coordinate warehouse activities.
• Provide leadership and support to the team while remaining hands‑on and actively involved in daily operations.
• Work some weekends and public holidays when required to meet operational and business requirements.

About You

• Proven experience in warehouse management, supervision, or a similar leadership role.
• Strong understanding of inbound receiving, stock control, and warehouse processes.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, manage, and develop a team.
• A proactive, hands‑on approach with a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
• High reach forklift experience will be highly regarded.
• Current LF Forklift Licence (essential).
• Licence would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Availability to work Monday to Friday, with rare weekend / public holiday work.
