Job summary

Queensland Health in Rockhampton is seeking a part-time Volunteer Coordinator to lead the hospital's volunteer service, recruit and onboard volunteers, and coordinate placements across clinical and support areas.

You will rostering, supervise volunteers, work with hospital teams to identify opportunities to support patients and staff, and help shape new initiatives to grow the program across CQ Health. This role is temporary until late 2026 with potential extension.

• Exceptional people skills and diplomacy in communication with patients, staff and volunteers.
• Confident leadership experience including recruitment, onboarding and supervision.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities with initiative and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the volunteer service operations and rostering across clinical and support areas.

• Drive growth and development of volunteering across CQ Health and support new initiatives.
