Job summary

Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service is seeking a capable leader to manage Rockhampton Hospital's volunteer service, coordinating day-to-day operations, rostering, supervision and placement of volunteers across clinical and support areas.

You will recruit, onboard and train volunteers, ensuring they meet Queensland Health requirements, and work with multidisciplinary teams to develop programs that respond to patient and staff needs.

Qualifications

• Exceptional people skills and the ability to communicate clearly with patients, staff and volunteers.
• Confident leadership experience, including recruitment, onboarding and supervision.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
• Collaborative approach to build relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
• Quality-focused and proactive with a drive to improve volunteer services.

Responsibilities

• Lead Rockhampton Hospital's volunteer service, coordinating day-to-day operations, rostering, supervision and placement of volunteers across clinical and support areas.
• Recruit, onboard and train volunteers, ensuring they meet Queensland Health requirements.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to identify new opportunities for volunteers and develop programs.
• Drive growth and development of volunteering across CQHHS and advise clinical and executive teams.
