Job summary

Country Fire Authority (CFA) – Chirnside Park VIC is seeking a fixed-term full-time Coordinator for Learning & Development to streamline recruitment, onboard volunteer instructors, and promote their professional growth across the North East Region.

You will coordinate recruitment, assess capacity, upskill instructors, and support events while recording activities in the LMS. Travel within the region and occasional evenings/weekends are expected.

Qualifications

• The ability to manage and build relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
• Experience coordinating volunteer recruitment processes and/or an understanding of recruitment & onboarding processes.
• Managing multiple workflows and preparing high-quality correspondence and reports.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, including supporting users on a range of tools and processes.
• Experience using Learning Management Systems to maintain accurate records.
• Understanding of compliance and regulatory environments.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end coordination of recruitment activities and onboarding processes for volunteer instructors.
• Assessing volunteer instructor capacity within the region and reporting to the Manager of Learning & Development to improve engagement.
• Working closely with the Manager of Learning & Development to upskill the volunteer instructors and monitor their ongoing professional development.
• Coordinating and supporting the delivery of volunteer instructor events.
• Accurately recording within CFA's Learning Management System (LMS) providing additional support and training.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with various internal and external stakeholders including Group Training Coordinators, Brigade Training Coordinators and Assistant Chief Fire Officers.
