Job summary

The Country Fire Authority (CFA) in Victoria is seeking a fixed-term, full-time role at the Burwood East HQ to coordinate volunteer instructors, streamline recruitment, onboarding and professional development. You will work with CFA’s Learning & Development team to ensure high-quality training delivery and stakeholder engagement across the state.

This role requires travel across Victoria, occasional evenings and weekends, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage and build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience coordinating volunteer recruitment processes and onboarding.
• Managing multiple workflows and preparing high-quality correspondence and reports.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and supporting users on tools and processes.
• Experience using Learning Management Systems to maintain accurate records.
• Understanding of compliance and regulatory environments.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end coordination of recruitment activities and onboarding for volunteer instructors.
• Assess volunteer instructor capacity and report to the Manager of Learning & Development.
• Upskill volunteer instructors and monitor ongoing professional development.
• Coordinate and support delivery of volunteer instructor events.
• Record accurately in CFA LMS and provide training support.
• Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships across CFA units.
