Job summary

Auto & General is seeking a Desktop Home Assessor to manage end-to-end insurance claims for damaged properties. The role involves virtually reviewing reports and photos, determining damage causation, and aligning repairs with policy cover, while maintaining excellent customer service.

You will collaborate with a panel of restorers and suppliers to ensure repairs meet high standards at fair prices, assess risks, authorize emergency work, and oversee the repair scope from start to finish.

Qualifications

• Clear communication, negotiation and conflict resolution abilities with strong time management and organisational skills.
• Experience in managing quality building work and enhancing customer satisfaction is preferred.
• Ability to build effective business relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Assess the damage by virtually reviewing reports and photos to validate event-related damage and repair costs, determine causation, and recommend justified decisions.
• Scope the damage by producing detailed scope and cost documentation and reviewing against supplier quotes.
• Negotiate with repairers and customers to determine sustainable costs, approve work and manage invoices, milestones and recurring inspections.
