Job summary

Lowes is seeking an experienced Area Manager to oversee stores across Victoria's Western region. You will lead and coach Store Managers, drive sales, manage profitability, and uphold operational standards to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

The role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and a willingness to travel regularly. A background in apparel or specialty retail is highly regarded, with a focus on building a high-performing, customer-centric team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in retail management.
• Proven experience managing multiple retail locations.
• Strong leadership, coaching and people development skills.
• Demonstrated ability to drive sales and operational performance.
• Strong commercial and financial understanding.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Current Driver's Licence and willingness to travel regularly.
• Experience in apparel, fashion or specialty retail will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales, profitability and overall store performance across the region
• Lead, coach and develop Store Managers and their teams
• Monitor sales, wages, profitability and key performance indicators
• Conduct regular store visits and support performance improvement
• Maintain high standards across customer service, merchandising, stock management and store presentation
• Support recruitment, succession planning and talent development
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and WHS requirements
• Partner with Head Office teams to deliver business initiatives and priorities
