Job summary

Cumberland Charter Yachts is seeking a skilled maintenance team member at Coral Sea Marina, Airlie Beach, Queensland. You will keep a fleet of vessels in prime condition, perform turnarounds for new charters, and ensure safety protocols are followed to protect guests and the brand.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience maintaining vessels mechanically and cosmetically, and can brief guests on safety and vessel features. This casual role offers 38–40 hours per week with immediate start.

Responsibilities

Cumberland Charter Yachts is a multi award winning business at Coral Sea Marina, Airlie Beach Queensland. We offer bareboat (skipper yourself) charters across a fleet of 40 vessels for guests to hire and holiday around the Whitsunday Islands.

About the role

Casual position with 38 - 40 hours per week - IMMEDIATE START

We are seeking a skilled and conscientious maintenance team member who takes pride in their work and approaches every task with integrity and attention to detail. By helping maintain a fleet that is safe, reliable, and impeccably presented, you will play an essential role in delivering outstanding guest experiences and strengthening our reputation as a multi-award-winning charter operator.

You will be required to perform duties as directed by the Operations Manager and Dock Supervisor.

About you

• Previous experience maintaining vessels mechanically and cosmetically
• Conduct turnarounds preparing vessels for its next charter
• Mechanical checks to a high standard of accuracy, integrity and efficiency
• Brief charter guests on the vessel and safety
• Care of all tools when in use and in storage
• Follow safe working practices at all times
• Clean, presentable & reliable
• Vessel handling skills in close proximity advantageous
• Ability to offer longevity in the role
• Team player but can also work autonomously
