Job summary

Trinity Marine in the Whitsundays seeks a Vessel Technician to maintain our yacht fleet. The role focuses on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, with emphasis on rigging and general boat maintenance.

Experience in sailing is nice, marine knowledge valued, working in a small team at our Shute Harbour base. This full-time position offers hands-on work on a range of 35–53ft yachts and catamarans.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical skills and knowledge of boat systems.
• Experience with rigging, electrical or plumbing systems is preferred.
• Able to work in a team and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain fleet of yachts and catamarans.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and plumbing issues.
• Assist with rigging and routine maintenance.

We are seeking an enthusiastic Vessel Technician with strong mechanical skills to maintain our fleet of yachts. Whether you are a formally trained marine mechanic or a boat lover with solid mechanical know-how, we want to hear from you!

Right now we are looking for technicians that are strong in mechanical, electrical or electronic skills.

This is a full time position.

Trinity Marine operates Whitsunday Rent A Yacht & Sunsail Whitsundays, specialising in skipper-yourself bareboat charters onboard our fleet of yachts & catamarans (35-53ft) – offering guests unforgettable experiences in the Whitsunday Islands.

Our private jetty facility in Shute Harbour is just 10 minutes from Airlie Beach.

Key Requirements:

• Strong mechanical skills (marine experience ideal but not essential)
• Knowledge of boat systems: rigging, electrical, plumbing, etc.
• Passion for boating and sailing desirable.
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively
