The Glenmore, located in The Rocks, Sydney, is seeking a dedicated Venue Manager to join our management team and lead day-to-day operations in a busy hospitality venue.

This hands-on role suits an emerging manager or a strong supervisor, with a focus on guest experience and team development. You’ll work with a stable team and receive guidance, training, and support to grow into the role.

Qualifications

• Experience in pub/hospitality venue with supervisory responsibilities.
• Willingness to learn and take initiative.
• Strong communication and people skills.
• Current NSW RSA certification.

Responsabilités

• Run shifts and lead the team during busy services.
• Be visible on the floor and lead from the front.
• Deliver a consistently great guest experience.

• Manage opening and closing procedures.

The Role

As Venue Manager, you’ll be part of the venue management team, working closely with our General Manager and senior managers to deliver great service and keep the venue running smoothly.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Running shifts and leading the team through busy services
• Being visible on the floor and leading from the front
• Delivering a consistently great guest experience
• Coaching, supporting and developing our team
• Managing opening and closing procedures
• Handling guest feedback and resolving issues during service
• Maintaining high standards of presentation, service and cleanliness
• Supporting cash handling, stock and day-to-day operational processes
• Ensuring RSA, WHS and venue compliance standards are maintained
• Helping create a positive, energetic and supportive team culture

About You

We’re looking for someone who loves hospitality, enjoys the buzz of a busy pub and is ready to build a career in venue management.

You’ll bring:

• Experience in a pub, bar or hospitality venue, ideally with some supervisory or team leadership responsibilities
• A positive, eager attitude and a willingness to learn from those around you
• Initiative, reliability and the drive to take on new responsibilities
• Strong communication and people skills
• A hands‑on approach — you’re happiest on the floor with your team
• The ability to stay calm under pressure and ask for guidance when needed
• A genuine focus on providing great customer experiences
• A current NSW RSA
