Job summary

Youi Insurance is seeking a claims assessor to step off the tools and sign off repairs, helping customers get back on the road. You’ll inspect vehicles, scope damage, review quotes, and decide what’s fair and reasonable. Some days you’ll be on the road; others you’ll review estimates and progress claims from home.

The role is a full 38-hour week with potential for a 9-day fortnight, backed by a supportive training program at the Chermside office and travel coverage during onboarding.

Qualifications

• A trade qualification in Panel Beating or Spray Painting is essential
• Bonus points if you've worked with watercraft or specialty vehicles
• Hold a current driver's licence as you will be on the road

Responsibilities

• Inspect damaged vehicles and validate claims
• Scope repairs and review repairer estimates
• Identify discrepancies or potential fraud indicators
• Assess liability considerations
• Manage customer expectations professionally
• Manage your diary and turnaround times
• Work closely with service providers to ensure quality repairs
• Maintain thorough documentation and compliance standards
