Job summary

Budget Direct is seeking a Motor Assessor to manage vehicle repairs from initial assessment to completion at Brisbane/Gold Coast centres. You will inspect damage, scope safe, cost-effective repairs and prepare accurate reports and estimates.

In this role you will work closely with customers and repairers, guiding them through the claims process and ensuring timely, approved repairs that meet policy requirements. Eight weeks of paid training available.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Panel Beating or Automotive Spray Painting.
• Minimum 4 years’ automotive trade experience.
• Full working rights in Australia.
• Ability to complete pre-employment background checks.

Responsibilities

• Inspect damaged vehicles on arrival and scope safe, cost‑effective repairs.
• Prepare accurate vehicle assessment reports and repair estimates.
• Negotiate repair scopes and costs with smash repairers.
• Ensure repairs align with policy requirements and claims protocols.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with repairers and stakeholders.
• Provide excellent customer service and guide customers through the process.
