Job summary

Youi Insurance is seeking a Home Assessor to visit damaged homes, determine repair methods, and document scopes so repairs advance quickly. You will meet customers face to face, explain outcomes, and coordinate with repairers while maintaining top service standards across the Mackay region and beyond.

The role combines on‑road inspections with desktop assessments and requires strong communication, documentation, and organization.

Qualifications

• Experience in insurance assessment or related field with customer-facing work.
• Experience in scoping repairs and working with builders or in home claims.
• Ability to travel regionally across Rockhampton to Mackay.

Responsibilities

• Inspect damage, decide on onsite repair method, document scope to move work forward.
• Walk scopes with builders, resolve disputes, keep repairs on schedule.
• Explain outcomes to customers face-to-face and guide next steps.
• Manage daily run sheet of claims, inspections, scopes and follow-ups.
• Use online reporting daily to complete assessments.
• Occasional national travel during catastrophe events.
