Job summary

Bupa is hiring a Medical Receptionist on a casual basis to support both Urgent Care and GP Practice locations in Carlton, NSW. You will be the first point of contact, greeting patients, registering new patients, and coordinating bookings and admissions while ensuring a calm, welcoming experience.

The role requires GP Medical Receptionist experience and the ability to work as the sole receptionist on shift, with a focus on accuracy, confidentiality, and efficient service in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Previous GP Medical Receptionist experience is required.
• Best Practice experience is advantageous.
• Confidence in working as the only receptionist on shift.
• Register new patients and update existing patient information accurately in the clinic's system.
• Manage appointment bookings efficiently and coordinate with medical staff.
• Experience in processing payments, health insurance claims, and billing inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a professional, friendly manner from arrival to departure.
• Register new patients and update patient information accurately in the clinic's system.
• Coordinate appointment bookings and liaise with medical staff for consultations, tests, and follow-ups.
• Handle payments and billing inquiries with confidentiality.
• Keep reception area clean, organized, and stocked with supplies.
• Demonstrate teamwork and communication with the general practice nursing team.
