Job summary

Bupa Mackay Urgent Care Clinic is seeking a Casual Medical Receptionist to warmly welcome patients, manage appointments, and handle billing inquiries in a fast-paced clinical setting. You will coordinate with the care team, register new patients, and maintain accurate records while upholding confidentiality and patient-first service.

Ideal candidates will have GP Receptionist experience, familiarity with Best Practice, and a friendly, organized approach to keep the front desk running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Previous GP Medical Receptionist experience ideal.
• Best Practice experience advantageous.
• Greet patients and visitors in a professional, friendly manner, ensuring a positive experience from arrival to departure.
• Register new patients and update existing patient information accurately in the clinic's system.
• Manage appointment bookings efficiently, coordinating with medical staff to schedule consultations, tests, and follow-ups.
• Process payments, health insurance claims, and billing inquiries, ensuring accurate documentation and confidentiality.
• Keep the reception area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Demonstrate a high level of teamwork, support, engagement and communication with the general practice nursing team.

Responsibilities
