Bupa Belmont Urgent Care in Geelong is seeking a casual Medical Receptionist to be the friendly, professional first point of contact for patients in need of care. You’ll help keep the clinic running smoothly in a fast-paced environment.

Your day includes greeting patients, registering new arrivals, booking appointments, assisting with billing and insurance queries, and coordinating with the care team. If you value compassion and organisation, we’d love to meet you.

Qualifications

• Previous GP Medical Receptionist experience is required.
• Best Practice experience is advantageous.
• Confidence in working as the only receptionist on shift.
• Register new patients and update existing patient information accurately in the clinic's system.
• Hold experience in managing appointment bookings efficiently, coordinating with medical staff.
• Experience in processing payments, health insurance claims, and billing inquiries, ensuring confidentiality.
• Ensure the reception area is kept clean, organised, and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Monitor inventory and request supplies as needed.
• Demonstrate teamwork and communication with the general practice nursing team.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a professional, friendly manner, ensuring a positive experience from arrival to departure.
• Register new patients and update patient information in the clinic's system.
