Job summary

Westgold Resources Limited is seeking an experienced Ventilation Engineer for an underground operation in Western Australia on an 8/6 roster. You will provide technical leadership across one of our key operations, developing plans, optimising systems and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role offers a chance to influence ventilation strategy during a growth period with exposure to multi-site operations and external training. A permanent full-time position and competitive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Underground ventilation experience is essential.
• VentSim modelling and planning capability is required.
• Strong knowledge of WA mining regulations and ventilation compliance.
• Eligibility to be appointed as onsite ventilation officer.
• Experience leading major ventilation projects and managing contractors.
• Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or related discipline.
• Current C Class Driver's Licence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review short and long-term underground ventilation plans.
• Manage and optimise ventilation systems across the operation.
• Perform ventilation modelling and simulation using VentSim.
• Deliver ventilation-related projects, audits and system improvements.
• Monitor ventilation performance and provide regular reporting.
• Ensure compliance with WA mining legislation and company standards.
• Identify energy efficiency and cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with operational and technical stakeholders to support mine planning.
