Job summary

Westgold Resources Limited is seeking a Senior Mining Engineer with underground experience to join our Northern Operations on an 8/6 FIFO roster. You will lead the mining engineering team to safely execute the mine plan, including drill & blast and stope design, to deliver cost-effective production.

The role requires advanced Deswik and Ventsim skills, a Bachelor of Mining Engineering, and a current WA C class licence. First Class Mine Manager’s certificate or progress is desirable.

Qualifications

• Must have underground mining experience and lead a mining engineering team.
• Experience with drill & blast design, ring design and optimisation.
• Bachelor degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent; First Class Mine Manager's certificate desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead underground mine planning, design, scheduling and infrastructure.
• Monitor compliance to plan and implement short-term control measures.
• Oversee ventilation planning and surveys in line with regulations.
• Ensure safe execution of mine activities and alignment with the mine plan.
• Support planning outputs and assist senior planning engineer.
