Job summary

Barminco is seeking an experienced Trainer Site Operations to join Sunrise Dam on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth. Reporting to the HSE&T Superintendent, this role supports site leadership with training and workforce development initiatives to ensure a safe, skilled workforce.

The position requires strong experience in underground mining, coaching, and competency assessment, with a focus on training compliance and safety leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in underground mining.
• Experience in workplace training, coaching and mentoring.
• Sound understanding of training compliance in mining.

Responsibilities

• Support site leadership with implementing Barminco's Safety and Training Management Systems.
• Conduct and facilitate training for operational personnel through coaching, mentoring, and workplace guidance.
• Assist operational teams in coordinating employee upskilling and development in line with individual progression plans.
• Complete practical on-the-job assessments across all operational departments and competency areas.
• Maintain accurate training records, competency matrices, reports, and documentation to meet site, corporate, and legislative requirements.
• Manage and update learning management systems and training databases.
• Promote Barminco's safety culture and engagement with staff.
• Build strong working relationships with supervisors, trainers, and operational personnel.
