Job summary

Barminco is seeking an experienced Underground Shift Supervisor to lead and oversee underground crews on a FIFO roster from Perth to site. You will coordinate daily underground activities, ensure safety, drive productivity, and maintain shift records while liaising with Project Manager, Mine Foreman and site leadership.

You will bring 5+ years of underground mining ops experience or 2 years as a qualified Mining Engineer, with strong leadership and safety systems knowledge.

Qualifications

• Current Underground Shift Supervisor Ticket.
• Current Australian Manual Driver's Licence (C Class minimum).
• Current Working at Heights Ticket.
• National Police Clearance (within 6 months).
• Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical including Drug and Alcohol Screening.
• Relevant underground mining qualifications, licences, and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise underground mining crews to ensure safe, productive operations.
• Support Project Manager, Mine Foreman and site leadership in safety systems and initiatives.
• Conduct daily pre-starts, toolbox talks and work planning sessions.
• Monitor quality, production targets and shift performance.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, site procedures, standards and risk controls.
• Promote safety culture and duty of care among personnel.
• Coordinate underground activities and liaise with contractors for safe completion.
• Ensure SWIC requirements and safety documentation are completed daily.
• Conduct workplace inspections, hazard reporting and leadership interactions.
• Investigate and report incidents and support corrective actions.
• Assist with workforce management, coaching and disciplinary processes.
• Support site administration, including production reporting and records.
• Summarise production activities and maintain shift records.
